"Oh Christmas Tree"

Our famous "Oh Christmas Tree" quilt designed and made by my mom Ardie Skjod, was chosen for a new exhibit "Award winning traditional quilts" at the "International Quilt Festival" in Long Beach. Two more of her quilts were chosen for this exhibit. We will be selling this pattern and more including kits and a new line of primitive dolls and other hand did whimsies in booth 1014.

New Christmas tree quilt in the works

I am finishing up a new version of the famous "Oh Christmas Tree" quilt - this one is much smaller so it goes together pretty easy. It is still all made from 1" squares. This quilt will preview at the "International Quilt Festival" in Long Beach. We'll be in booth 1014.

New candle mats

I have 2 new candle mats - getting ready for the holidays.

Bees and Blossoms

I just finished this little quilt - I love it. The top was easy to assemble and the applique is all done with wool and black pearl cotton - very fun.

Easter 2010

It was my granddaughter Rylee's second Easter - she is so cute!

Home Cooking

I just bought a new cookbook "Home Cooking" by Trisha Yearwood. OMG so many good recipes, I made the stuffed bell peppers and my family loved them. The next day I made the crockpot maccaroni and cheese (not very figure friendly) and it was also a hit with the family. The broccoli casserole is to die for - I served it with grilled chicken. My son in law is begging me to make the jalapeno bites. I love this cookbook!

Chicken Coop

This quilt was fun to make - the chicken blocks are small (I like to piece small blocks) and the vine applique was so easy - just alot of little wool circles.

Feathered Nest

I love the way this quilt turned out - It is all done with Moda's new collection "Cherish Nature" by Deb Strain. It was so easy to piece the quilt - I used precut charm squares so not too much cutting (I hate to cut) and lots of wool applique which I like to do.
